BABICH HEADWATERS ORGANIC SAUVIGNON BLANC 2022

Established in 1916, Babich has evolved as a major producer, now the oldest family owned winery in Marlborough, A sustainable production and a willingness to invest in the future ensures that this approach will continue to deliver fine wines which fully reflect the fruit of the variety and the terroir of the land.

In 2002, Bodegas Naia set-up in La Seca, a region that is considered a grand cru in Rueda with the idea of making great white wines. Since then, the cornerstone of its work has been a selection of old vines of the autochthonous Verdejo. They are untrained vines, and some are pre-phylloxera. The vineyard is owned by Bodegas Naia and is 21.4 hectares in size and includes some strains that are more than a century old. From this raw material, the winery has been creating white wines that, over the years, have delighted many and have obtained top recognition and prizes.

Carrick Wines is a boutique winery located in the heart of Central Otago, New Zealand, renowned for its stunning landscapes and unique terroir. Established in 1993 by the Carrick family, the winery focuses on sustainable viticulture, utilizing organic and biodynamic practices to cultivate its grapes. The vineyard is situated in the Bannockburn sub-region, where the combination of a cool climate, diverse soils, and long growing season allows for the production of high-quality wines.

The land has to be loved, protected, and cared for. We are its guardians: we want to make it profitable, not exploit it. Because, in that way, its fruits thrive all the more, and the quality of the wines that we obtain from them also continues to grow. Our members are small-scale farmers: they are familiar with every inch of their vineyards, and they know just when and how to intervene in order to obtain the best from their grapes. And we, the cooperative, help them with agronomical and oenological support, investing in specialist personnel and in production technology.
