Tenute Silvio Nardi is one of the historical wineries in Montalcino. Silvio Nardi bought the estate of Casale del Bosco in the north-west in 1950 and the estate of Manachiara in the south-east in 1962. Now the winery is run by his daughter, Emilia, who has invested a lot in scientifical research, aiming to express at best the potential of their different terroirs. The result of this engagement are the two single vineyard crus, Brunello Manachiara and Brunello Poggio Doria, while the regular Brunello is the blend of the two estates. Tenute Nardi produces around 250,000 bottles every year, exported all over the world
